SAP Maintenance & Service Management covers three building blocks, taught in sequence: how technical objects are structured, how bills of material describe them, and how measuring points keep their condition data current. It covers: 

 

  • Technical objects in SAP — functional locations and equipment structures, basic data, classification data, and object networks and links
  • Bill of materials — different bill of material types, structure and usage patterns, and how BOMs link back to technical objects
  • Measuring points & counters — measuring points and counters for technical objects, measuring documents, and document management and integration with technical objects
