Emixa proudly marked its inaugural participation at the 2024 Computable Awards, held on Thursday, November 27th, at the iconic De Polar at Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. The event, themed “Faster, Higher, Stronger” in homage to the Paris Olympic Games, celebrated excellence in the Dutch ICT sector. Emixa's nominations underscored its commitment to innovation and digital transformation.
Nominations in Two Competitive Categories
Emixa was honoured with nominations in two highly competitive categories:
- Project & Trajectories – Digital Innovation: Meijer Potato – Cross Potatoes
- Project & Trajectories – Education Project: InMotion – Charging Ahead Towards Le Mans e-Racing
About the Projects
Meijer Potato – Crossing Potatoes:
In collaboration with Meijer Potato, Mendix, Boomi, Solace, and Databricks, Emixa developed a solution to streamline the development of new potato varieties. By automating the selection of optimal "source potatoes" through an advanced data model, the process became more efficient and scalable. The integrated app, powered by Boomi iPaaS and Solace, communicates with a robust data platform to calculate the "perfect cross" for new varieties. Boomi Master Data Hub serves as the central data repository, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across all processes.
InMotion – Charging Ahead Towards Le Mans e-Racing:
This educational project, led by a student team at Eindhoven University of Technology in collaboration with Emixa and Siemens, aims to revolutionize charging technology in the automotive industry. The team's pioneering work seeks to make electric refueling as fast as conventional refueling. Their innovation will be showcased during the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans race, where they will compete with a fully electric car. Now in its eleventh season, the project demonstrates the potential of Siemens software—supported by Emixa—to drive the energy transition in the automotive industry
Emixa Shines with Strong Public Backing
While Emixa did not take home an award, the results showcased the strength of its projects and the incredible support from the public:
- InMotion – Charging Ahead Towards Le Mans e-Racing achieved 3rd place overall, securing the highest public vote score in its category.
- Meijer Potato – Cross Potatoes earned 4th place overall, with the second-highest public vote score in its category.
These outcomes reflect the public's recognition of Emixa's innovative capabilities and the dedication of its talented team.
