Webinar: Turn Bottlenecks into Breakthroughs with Simulation
Test the change before you make it. A one-hour live webinar for operations and production managers who want to fix bottlenecks and justify investments with data, not gut feeling.

Webinar Topics
After this hour, you will know:
- - Where your capacity really goes, and why spreadsheets don't show it.
- - What happens when you change a layout, process or automation step, tested in a digital model first.
- - Which improvement gives the biggest impact, by comparing scenarios side by side.
- - The numbers to put in front of management when you ask for budget for AGVs or automation.
What if you could test the change before making it?
A new layout, an extra production line, AGVs or more automation: these are big decisions, and once the money is spent there is no undo button. Most teams still decide based on spreadsheets, experience and a best guess at where the real bottleneck is.
Simulation changes that. With a digital model of your production, you can try out ideas, see exactly where flow breaks down, and compare scenarios before anything changes on the shop floor, without disrupting your running operation.
In this webinar we show how Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation works in practice, using a real customer case. No simulation experience needed.
Who is this webinar for?
This session is for you if you're responsible for how a production or logistics operation performs. That might be output, efficiency, or the decision to invest in something new.
It's especially useful if you're:
- Trying to find out where your real bottleneck is, and why
- Planning a new layout, a line expansion, automation or AGVs, and need to show it will pay off
- Relying on large safety margins in planning because demand or product mix keeps changing
No simulation experience needed.
How Mr. Mallo used simulation to plan its factory expansion
Mr. Mallo has made marshmallows since 1907. Today it is a European market leader, producing around 14,000 tons a year in three factories in Belgium and Spain for customers in more than 50 countries.
-
The challenge: Mr. Mallo wanted to expand its Wetteren factory, but how big should the investment be, and where should it go? Seasonal demand and many different recipes made the bottlenecks hard to pin down.
-
The solution: Emixa built a Tecnomatix Plant Simulation model of the full production process, covering different recipes and seasonal demand patterns.
-
The result: Investment targeted where it has the most impact, reliable weekly production schedules, inventory forecasts three months ahead, and much smaller safety margins on stock
In the webinar, we walk through this case and show what the model revealed.
