Key learning points:

• The three levels of AI in engineering: inside one tool, inside one system, and agents working across systems. What each level can and cannot do.
• What an enterprise AI architecture looks like: how an agent reaches into your systems, and what it needs underneath to come back with an answer you can trust.
• What a knowledge graph is for, when you need one, and how it fits into an enterprise AI architecture.
• A demo of an Azure-based AI architecture that uses Teamcenter and SAP data, speeding up an existing cross-system engineering process.
• How to run an AI programme: how to pick and prioritise use cases, how to organise the team, and how the foundation grows case by case.

Beyond a single system: using AI across the engineering landscape

Most engineering questions do not stop at one system. Whether a change can go ahead, what it affects, and whether the parts and the people are available sits spread across PLM, ERP and the systems around them. An AI assistant inside one tool helps the person using that tool, but it cannot answer a question whose answer sits in multiple systems.

In this session, we show what an enterprise AI architecture looks like, how a knowledge graph fits into it, and how this architecture supports cross-system processes. We then demonstrate an Azure-based AI architecture that uses Teamcenter and SAP data, showing how it can support and speed up existing cross-system engineering processes.

We also cover how to run an AI programme: how to identify and prioritise use cases, how to organise the right team, and how to build a foundation that grows one use case at a time.
